Shiamak Summer Funk organized by Ovation international is the culmination of their summer training program, where students from ages 4 onwards are trained in a variety of dance styles. Summer Funk gives the students a platform to perform, share their skills, technique, energy and be a star on stage!
Show was titled as homecoming as it was the first event Post pandemic, for Shiamak students globally and was also attended by Shiamak himself through online video conference on the 13th of August 2021 at The Theatre, Mall of the Emirates. Shiamak was ecstatic and interacted with the enthusiastic crowd over video call, encouraging his students and giving valuable dance tips. The show was attended by over 400 patrons following strict social distancing guidelines, The attendees list included Yasir Khan (Transform your Body-Owner), Raj Somani (Sol Group – Owner) & H.E. Roy Fernandes (IIMSAM – United Nations)
Shiamak was glad to see Dubai classes leading the way and hosting the first on ground summer funk anywhere in the globe. He appreciated Dubai authorities for their proactiveness and for their co-operation for making this show possible.

The show was put together by Ovation International which is founded by Rahul Agiwal, Bhumika Chauhan & Nigel Soans who have an extensive background as Shiamak Instructors and have a combined experience of over 70 years in the dance industry.
During the show, Ovation International the organizing company for Shiamak in the region announced exciting new batches in September and another show batch coming up in October titled ‘Winter funk’
Exciting new platforms such as online training with ‘Class Always On’ and dance scholarships were also announced for Dubai Dance enthusiasts.
