HOW DO YOUNG PEOPLE FIND THEIR PURPOSE IN A WORLD THAT NEVER STOPS TALKING?
That question lies at the heart of The Journey So Far, the debut book launched by 15-year-old Zahratul’Jannah Ahmed at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library in Dubai.

Drawing on her own experiences, Zahra offers young readers practical guidance to recognise their potential, strengthen their confidence and discover their interests in an increasingly connected world. The book invites readers to think about their choices, their ambitions and the skills they need to grow amid the constant pull of information and distractions.

Every chapter includes Activity and Parent Corners, helping young readers, parents and educators turn ideas into meaningful conversations and action.
Zahra delivered a remarkable speech at the launch, where her principal, Mr. Wayne Howsen of The Aquila School, also spoke. Alia Ahmed Ajetunmobi, Fanta Diop and Amna Rehman added their perspectives to the programme.
The launch continued the conversation through the panel “Building Offline Skills in an Online World,” moderated by Zainab Al Hameed, with panellists Ettan Ehsan, Amna Rehman and Anastazja Ukleja and Zahra herself.
The occasion welcomed distinguished guests including H.E. Sheikha Dr. Hind Bint Abdulaziz Al Qassimi; Amb. Zayyan Ibrahim, Consul General of Nigeria in Dubai and the Northern Emirates; H.E. Yaqoob Al Ali; Mr. Michael Adeniyi, Senior Special Assistant to Nigeria’s Honourable Minister for Youth Development; Dr. Wedad Ahmed Bushanin, Founder and Chairperson of Read and Enjoy UAE; Mr. V. Bhushan, Managing Director of Standard Carpets Ind. LLC; and Mr. Wayne Howsen, Principal of The Aquila School.
Together, the book and the discussions highlighted the importance of equipping young people with confidence, purpose and practical skills for life in an online world.
